Virtual fist bumps to you, Mark Frauenfelder and Deacon Greg

Our cabin got BoingBoinged! And Beliefnetted!

This almost makes up for the fact that, due to unpredictable weather and various life events, we have not made it over to the island as much as we would have liked to this summer. Sad face.

*BUMP* :D Congrats!
Just wanted to say your little blog inspired us to do this same this past summer - many weekends and hours of driving later we have an amazing little bunkie for a family of 5. 12X16 foot print with a 3' porch downstairs and a nearly full size loft split in two with a bridge. A futon, wood stove, fold back ladder, drop leaf kitchen table and folding card chairs. Plus a double bathroom vanity converted to a mini kitchen complete with recycled propane stove and fridge and sink from a trailer. Thank YOU! We would have never started thinking about building tiny and building UP - but it's turned out better then we could have imagined :)
PS We insulated - it's -30C up there right now and we do snow shoe in during the winter. LOL
Reclaimed, Recycled and Re-markable! we did it all for less than 2500$ :D
If you'd like to see some pictures let me know! :D
